EastEnders legend Jessie Wallace left fans with their jaws on the floor after she revealed her real name.
The 51-year-old actor shot to fame playing the icon Kat Slater on the BBC One Soap back in 2000 – and since then, she’s amassed a loyal legion of fans.
But on Tuesday (May 16) Jessie no doubt stunned her followers when she unveiled her birth-name in a throwback snap.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Jessie shared a snap of her from back in the day as she sat amongst her pals.
The soap star looked worlds away from her current self as she rocked a blonde short mullet-style hairdo for the snap.
And that wasn’t the only surprise in the picture, which was a cutting from a 1985 copy of The Guardian, as in the caption Jessie was labelled by her real name.
She captioned it: "Trippy Day 1985” and beneath the photo, she was labelled as her birth name: Karen Wallis.
She added: "Love this pic. Very randomly being in the Guardian newspaper."
It appears Jessie is quite fond of taking a trip down memory lane as last month she shared a sizzling throwback to a noughties lads' mag shoot.
The EastEnders babe had fans saying ‘wow’ as she stripped down to lace lingerie for a sexy calendar shoot alongside her co-star Lucy Benjamin.
The Walford local looked sensational as she reclined on a fluffy white bed wearing nothing but a black lace corset.
It comes after Jessie recently shared a picture of her rarely-seen fiancé Justin Gallwey.
The soap actress shared a snap of the couple to her Instagram on March 1, as the pair smiled at the camera.
She captioned the post: "My handsome fiancé."
The EastEnders star has known Justin Gallwey since they were teenagers, but have since become a couple.
The telly legend is best-known for portraying the role of Kat Slater on the BBC soap opera EastEnders on and off since 2000.
Aside from EastEnders, Jessie made a guest appearance as Kat Slater in the 2005 French & Saunders Christmas special.
And in 2008 she competed in the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing with Darren Bennett, with the couple getting axed in week four.
