EastEnders Eve Unwin had bad intentions when she started to flirt with Ash Panesar while begging for medical attention from the budding doctor.
While it seemed like an unlikely romance was brewing between the two – much to many fans' enjoyment – Eve soon made her intentions clear.
She had requested a prescription on the sly from Ash, which, despite being cautious at first, Ash eventually agreed to and signed the prescription for Eve.
A grateful Eve began telling Ash that she can be discreet, before adding: "About a lot of things…" which saw fans adamant that she was becoming flirtatious with Ash.
However, the excitement of their budding romance soon came crashing down as Eve made it obvious that she had a game plan.
After the pair had gone their separate ways, Ash returned home – only to spot Eve ready and waiting with the prescription still in her hand.
Eve told Ash: "You really should have someone look at your security system. Thank you for this by the way. You said it was a one time thing right?
"What if I say that's not true. I could call the police and tell them you make a fortune out of writing dodgy prescriptions."
While Ash immediately shut her down and said there was no way to prove it, Eve said: "But do you really want that kind of investigation? With your mum setting up that surgery."
Eve told Ash that she wants Jean's money back from the Panesar's.
She said: "Either I get Jean's money by tomorrow night or you get a call from the police… I'm sure they'll take kindly to a family that sells drugs and steals from defenceless ladies."
Fans were left utterly shocked over the conversation after many were adamant that a romance was brewing between the duo.
One user wrote: "If Eve hadn't of blackmailed Ash then I think they could've been a good couple – plus Suki would have hated it so that's a plus."
Another said: "Seems like Eve's blackmailing worked a treat."
A third said: "Eve is out to get Jean's money back from the Panesar's, ok I like her even more."
It seems Eve's threat struck a chord with Ash, who was busted at the end of the episode by her brother after she broke into their family home to steal the cash, but will she be punished?
