EASTENDERS star Max Bowden has slammed the show's trolls in a shock expletive-filled rant after a wave of backlash against the soap.
Max plays the long-suffering Ben Mitchell, who was dealt a killer blow earlier this week when he failed to make it back home in time to wave goodbye to Lola Pearce before she died.
He hit out at viewers of the BBC show as he slammed them for tagging actors and show crew in negative and abusive tweets.
Max was left ranting online after coming to the defence of show writer Daran Little, who viewers accused of constantly making the programme's gay characters unhappy and insisted he 'hated' the characters.
Feeling the heat, Daran told his followers he was 'fed up' with the malicious accusations as he wrote: "In my 35-year career in soap I've created and supported endless gay characters. Just, back off will you?"
Max then retweeted the message along with a reference to the creation of his character Ben's long-running relationship with Callum as he told how Daran was the man who engineered it all.

He wrote: "Quite literally responsible for Ballum's creation in chemistry with his phenomenal "I smell queer" scene. A terrific writer."
Max then unleashed his anger as he was left on the warpath as he tried to deal with the unnecessary trolling.
He said: "Also stop tagging actors and writers in abuse and negativity. Our job is to tell the story!!!
"We work so hard to bring you two hours of content every week.

"Regardless on your view of a character or an episodes work, stop making it known to the people working their a**e off for it."
He then ferociously finished off by calling them c***s as part of his outburst.
Max said: "And also, you just look like a bit of a c**t. xoxox."
The actor recently opened up on the personal struggle of being involved in Lola's brain tumour battle storyline.
As Lola's illness took hold of her earlier this week, Max shared to Instagram: "This storyline has been the hardest I have ever had to deal with. 21 months ago I lost my best friend in the world to an undiagnosed brain tumour.
"Friday afternoon we were on the phone for an hour discussing Ronaldo to united return, 24 hours later he went into a coma and never woke up.
"Coming to terms with this grief has been the most turbulent, overwhelming, impossible thing I have ever had to overcome, and telling this story with Lola has been a tough old ride but an incredibly rewarding one.
"When we lose someone, we never know how we’re going to feel, how we’re going to change. Ben is no exception."
