EastEnders has aired dramatic exit scenes for Stacey Fowler (Lacey Turner) as the popular character has left Walford after leaving Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to die in a violent attack. Stacey lashed out at Phil with a wrench as he strangled Martin (James Bye) in a frenzied rage.
After Phil was left out cold in the pit of the Arches, Ben (Max Bowden) intervened, armed with a gun, and banished the Slaters. He then made every effort to frame Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) for the crime. With Phil now in an induced coma and the Mitchells being warned that even if he does survive, he may not be the same Phil that they know, Stacey is traumatised by what she has done.
With she and Martin considering that they have no option but to disappear while everything plays out in their absence, Stacey made a last minute decision to leave Arthur behind with Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) before she and Martin left. The scenes are facilitating the maternity leave of Lacey, who recently gave birth to her daughter Dusty.
Martin will also be off screen for a while but Metro.co.uk understands that James will be back before the end of Lacey’s maternity leave.
Back on the Square, things are looking messy for Keanu thanks to scheming Ben’s efforts. As Ben plays the worried, doting son, will he manage to get Keanu knocked out of the will and himself put in Keanu’s place? And, in turn, will he end up destroying Louise’s (Tilly Keeper) happiness with him?
As for whether Phil wakes up or not, this has yet to be confirmed but if he does come round, there is bound to be some huge drama if he discovers the lengths his own son is going to to cause a rift in his family.
Will Ben end up regretting his callous actions?
