The daughters of a bed-bound 40-stone mum have revealed that caring for her is causing them to gain weight.
Channel 4's three-part series Shut-Ins: Britain's Fattest People, which begins airing tonight, explores what life is like for the super-morbidly obese.
This includes Claire, who has been trapped in her own bedroom for the past six years and relies on her daughters Tracey and Jasmine to do nearly everything for her.
The burden of looking after Claire predominantly falls on 19-year-old Jasmine as Tracey has two young children of her own.
However the emotional distress of having to look after their mother is taking its toll and causing the two daughters to pile on the pounds.
Both Tracey and Jasmine are desperate to get their freedom but are worried about their mother.
Tonight, the programme follows their journey as a family therapist is brought in to help them.
A local surgeon will also try to get Claire the help she needs.
