DANCING On Ice favourite Jake Quickenden has been taken to hospital following an injury that could jeopardise this Sunday’s final.
The former X Factor star, 28, dislocated his thumb whilst filming for the show.
He is the bookmakers favourite to win the show but the setback will seriously hamper his and his 21 year old partner Vanessa Bauer’s chances.
A source said: “He was rushed to hospital having dislocated his thumb.
“They were filming at the time.
“Obviously this could affect his chances in the final as he may not be able to do lifts.”
The Jump 2017 star has been in the wars for over the last week.
He and pal Kem Cetinay, 21, were involved in a car crash and shared the incident on social media last Thursday.
Jake tweeted: “Be careful if you’re out in the snow, had a nightmare morning, skidded going like 5mph and bumped another car that was broken down, everyone OK, but the roads are tragic so please be careful!!"
He later shared more Instagram videos after the event, with one showing him walking to Dancing On Ice training in the snow after having to abandon his car.
Jake told fans: "We've had a nightmare – the car has spun out left right and centre.
"I hate driving in the snow. Spun out."
Bookmaker Betfair has the hunk as dead cert to win at 1/6 with Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent at 6/1 and rugby player Max Evans at 10/1.
Spokeswoman Katie Baylis said: “Jake Quickenden has been a huge odds-on favourite heading into the final at 1/6, ahead of Brooke Vincent at 6/1 and Max Evans at 10/1.
"However, with news he may have possibly broken his thumb his odds of winning the show have now gone out slightly to 1/4 as we await further detail.
"No doubt, he and the Dancing On Ice producers will be desperately hoping it won’t create a major issue for this weekend’s final, but a broken thumb could really scupper his chances and leave the door open for Brooke and Max, whose odds are now 4/1 and 8/1 following the news.”
