The competition is starting to heat up on Dancing On Ice as the skaters prepare for tonight’s performance. But Ben Hanlin and Joe Swash have revealed there is a lot of friendly competition between the two of them. Who will be triumphant out of the pair?
There is always some friendly competition when pals go head to head, but it seems there could even be some tension between Ben and Joe.
When asked about how they’d feel about the judges’ comments, Ben told press including Express.co.uk: “They’re going to judge us on skating and because none of us are professional skaters then that’s fine.
“But if they try and judge me on something I know about like magic, then we’ll have a problem.
“The thing I’m looking forward to at the end of this is, we’re going to be ripped.”

Joe chipped in to add: “I’ve put weight on, I went to see Sharon the physio and thought I felt a bit heavy and I’m heavier than when I started. It’s not muscle, it’s just fat.
“If I keep putting this much weight on until much I’ll be too f****** heavy for the ice.
“Since the babies been born I used to go to the gym a little bit but since babies been born and Stacey’s been pregnant, haven’t touched the gym.
“I’m not great at training, I do a bit then sit down and then do a bit.”
When asked if everyone was getting on or if there had been any arguments Ben said: “I don’t think there have been any rows, we’re all getting on aren’t we?”
However, Joe hit back: “But once that completion has started I’m gonna cut them all lose.”
Ben continued: “Some people you can tell are really competitive.
“Maura is really competitive, I mean Perri is going to win it so there’s not much of a competition.

“We are mates but I can’t have him going ‘Haha I beat you’ because for the rest of my life I’m going to hear that.”
“Now I know that I’m going to train a lot harder and I’m going to beat him,” Joe laughed.
“I’m gonna beat him, Joe for the final.”
When asked how far they would go with costumes, Ben explained: “They asked me how I felt about the low V and I said ‘Well not at the beginning of January!’”

Meanwhile, it seems the skaters this year think Perri Kiely is mostly likely to win the series due to his experience with Diversity, who won Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.
Love Island star Maura Higgins told Express.co.uk: “Perri is like a professional. We pretend he’s not in the competition because no one is going to compete with him.”
Michael Barrymore, who had to pull out of the series due to injury, added: “He is good, but he’s also going to be judged at that level.”
Who will go all the way and win this year’s series?
Dancing on Ice continues on ITV on Sunday at 6pm.
