Coronation Street star Alexandra Mardell has revealed she's already got a new job after quitting the ITV soap – and it's not in front of the camera.
The fan-favourite, who plays loveable Emma Brooker, is set to film her exit scenes this month with them airing in April.
And her new role won't see her back on screens, as the 28-year-old has revealed she will be teaching acting in workshops for kids in Leeds.
Alexandra will be working with LB Act in Leeds and Halifax.
The soap star landed her role in Coronation Street in 2018 and since then has been involved in some major storylines, including discovering Steve McDonald was Emma's real dad and going through partner Curtis's medical fraud.
The actress won Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and was also nominated in the same category at the National Television Awards.
But she announced she would be leaving Coronation Street earlier in February, saying "it's the right time".
Alexandra told the Sun: "Playing Emma, on the most iconic street there is, has been the best experience of my life.
"Four years have gone so fast.
“Compared to other cast members I still feel like a newbie, which makes my decision to leave all the more difficult.
"But I feel it’s the right time for me."
She thanked everyone at Corrie for welcoming her onto the soap and trusting her to play the role of Emma – and for the friendships she made there.
It seems her current storyline will result in her exit, after Corrie boss Iain MacLeod teased some major drama.
Faye Windass knocked down a pensioner during a driving lesson with Emma, but Emma was tipsy at the time.
Iain teased: "Emma has found herself in a massive pickle — one which will cause her to wave goodbye to the cobbles. At least for now.
“Alexandra has been pure Corrie gold and I wish her all the best.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV
