Coronation Street viewers can expect plenty of drama as the residents wave goodbye to 2022 and hello to a brand new year in Weatherfield.
In upcoming scenes of the ITV soap, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) reveals that Teddy Thompkins (Grant Burgin) called from Canada and has some new information regarding his missing son Leo Thompkins.
Leo's killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) masks his inner turmoil as Jenny reveals that Teddy will be dropping by to discuss what he’s found out.

Stephen's day goes from bad to worse when Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) explains he’s been contacted by Six Fellas.
But when he says they want to settle out of court, Stephen wonders if his luck is changing.
As Teddy heads to the Rovers, clearly the worse for wear, Stephen catches him.
Teddy reveals that Leo never arrived in Canada, the texts he sent came from Weatherfield and he intends to break the news to Jenny.
However, as Teddy crosses the street, he’s hit by a van.
Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) clocks the accident with horror as Teddy lies unconscious in the road.
Jenny hurries over to Teddy's aid. Have all Stephen’s problems been solved?
Elsewhere, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) tells Roy Cropper (David Neilson) how much easier life would be if he’d embrace technology and use his new smartphone.
Roy arranges to meet Nina, Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) at the bat group meeting in the woods after dropping Evelyn Plummer (Maueen Lipman) at a friend’s house.
But when Brian and Nina get a message saying the meeting has been cancelled, they realise they have no way of getting in touch with Roy.
The café owner arrives at the woods but drops his thermos in the river.
Arriving at the woods to look for Roy, a concerned Nina, Asha and Brian spot his car and head off towards the river to look for him but Nina is shocked when she spots Roy’s thermos in the water.

Nina makes her way down the bank but she slips, bangs her head and rolls into the river.
Asha and Brian watch in panic and Brian later manages to drag Nina’s limp body from the river whilst a fearful Asha calls for an ambulance. Will Nina survive?
Also, with Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) planning to rebrand the Christmas market as a Peace festival, Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron) orders Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock) to meet him at his flat.
Unaware that Griff is leading him to believe he is planning something for Maria’s meeting at the Town Hall.
Meanwhile, Spider gets a message from Max Turner (Paddy Beaver) asking him to meet him urgently.
Spider later comes face to face with Griff who knocks him out cold with a crowbar.
Having been told by Griff and the gang that the Speed Daal van is now at the bottom of the canal, Max is concerned when he sees it back on Victoria Street.
When Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) takes a call from her dad, warning her to steer well away from the market, a worried Max reckons they should call the police and warn people but will they be in time?
