Max Turner (Paddy Bever) revealed to David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) that he was responsible for spiking Amy Barlow’s (Elle Mulvaney) drink in Coronation Street.
The teen was acting shifty at the start of tonight’s episode, thrown by Daniel’s (Rob Mallard) information that the police will watch his video footage of the Valentine’s ball to try and gather evidence and find the person who spiked Amy’s drink.
When the police arrived, David (Jack P Shepherd) flicked through Max’s camera but only found footage of a blank screen.
Later on, Max was watching a video on his laptop – and David spotted him.
The video footage revealed Max in possession of the GHB and David was horrified.
Max told his dad that the GHB wasn’t intended for Amy – but Daniel.
He went on to explain that he wanted Daniel to know what it was like to be drugged after he made out, he knew what David went through when Josh drugged and raped him.
David was gobsmacked and immediately grabbed the laptop, making his way to the police station.
Thanks to Shona’s (Julia Goulding) intervention, David changed his mind about reporting Max but later expressed his concerns, fearing his son is turning into Callum (Sean Ward) – Max’s biological father who made Sarah (Tina O’Brien) and Kylie’s lives a living hell.
At home, David warned Max, telling him he must change his ways and if anything happens again, he’ll march him down to the station.
With Max upstairs, David told Shona how he was really feeling.
David wondered if 20 years ago, Josh Tucker’s father was having this same conversation, turning a blind eye and fearing his son’s behaviour will worsen in years to come.
But will Max change his ways?
Or is David right? Will his son’s behaviour spiral out of control?
