Coronation Street fans are convinced that Tyrone Dobbs is in for yet more shocking family revelations after discovering that Cassie Plummer is his long-long mum.

Corrie fans love coming up with theories and it seems many believe that Tyrone (Alan Halsall) is about to find out he has brothers and sisters now that Cassie (Claire Sweeney) has rocked up.

Poor Tyrone felt absolutely shocked and betrayed on Wednesday night (August 16) when recovering drug addict Cassie revealed that she was his mother.

He had previously been told by Evelyn that his mum was dead, but Cassie managed to tell him just as Evelyn barged into the room and tried to keep it a secret.

And Tyrone's daughter Ruby suggested to him that he could have brothers and sisters that he didn't know about, prompting fans to predict that that will be the case.

One commented: "Ruby 2.0 dropping a potential bombshell there. Tyrone could (and so probably will) have brothers and sisters!"

Another wrote: "Actually Ruby is right in one sense – they will have a little brother or sister out there."

A third wondered if newcomer Courtney Vance (Stephanie Davis) could be is sister, writing: "I hope that "you could have brothers or sisters" line is a bit of foreshadowing that Courtney is Tyrone's sister…"

A fourth quipped: "Knowing Tyrone's luck, he'll have a handsome, richer brother who will whisk Fiz off her feet."

Ruby asked: "Does she know about us?" before Hope asked: "Does she have any other kids?"

Tyrone admitted: "I don't know. I haven't asked her yet," before sending them out.

And Ruby said: "You could have brothers and sisters."

Evelyn left Tyrone at a police station when he was a baby because she didn't believe her daughter Cassie could raise him due to her drug addiction.

She genuinely thought Cassie was dead but found out the best part of a year ago and decided to keep the truth from Tyrone, who now feels betrayed by both of them as they didn't come forward.

And tearful Tyrone sent them both away at the end of the episode, telling Evelyn: "You fed me a pack of lies. I'm better off with Fizz and the girls. Just go."

Upcoming scenes show Abi Webster (Sally Carman) warn him about letting a recovering drug addict into his life, but spoilers reveal he does decide to give her a chance.
