GMTV star Fiona Phillips has revealed she is suffering from coronavirus, breaking the news over social media today.

The 59-year-old warned her fans not to panic as she described her symptoms in a brief post.

She said: "I am in bed with #coronvirusuk It’s not a very pleasant bedfellow, but nothing more than sore throat, dry cough, headache and tiredness. As long as it stays that way…. DON’T panic!"

The comments below, Fiona's fans sent messages of encouragement, wishing the BBC presenter a speedy recovery.

Fiona is best known for her presenting role on the ITV Breakfast programme GMTV Today.
