Next week on Coronation Street, happy go lucky Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) is left scrambling when he bumps into his ex-girlfriend who now has a baby.
His girlfriend, Grace, will be played by latest addition to the Coronation Street cast , Kate Spencer, who announced the news on Twitter earlier this week.
The storyline kicks off with the focus being on Michael's brother James (Nathan Graham) though, who is terrified his secret about being gay will be exposed.
Michael explains that James didn't come home the night before, leading dad Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) to assume he spent the night with Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).

However Michael and mum Aggie (Lorna Laidlaw) exchange awkward glances with each other.
A hungover James tells his brother that he'd actually spent the night with a guy called Dan and that he's lost his phone.
The promising footballer enlists Michael's help and gets him to come along in the search for his missing mobile.
But as they wait in the Frescho's car park to get James' phone back, Michael gets his own surprise.

He sees his ex-girlfriend Grace with her daughter, but she blanks him and soon drives off.
Later, a down in the dumps Michael tells his parents about seeing Grace with his daughter when there's a knock at the door.
It turns out to be Grace, who tells Michael that her daughter needs a responsible dad, someone she can look up to.
Michael begs her to let him be part of the little girl's life, but she leaves without promising him anything.

Soon enough, Grace discovers that Aggie has consulted with Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) about any parental rights Michael might have.
The Weatherfield newbie storms out telling them she doesn't need the hassle, while Michael is furious with his mum.
Will Michael be able to convince Grace to let him in their daughter's life?
And will the soap newbie be sticking around for a while?
