Coronation Street: Beth and Hope argue in the street
Coronation Street’s Hope Stape (played by Isabella Flanagan) could let jealousy get the better of her in upcoming scenes.
Official spoilers for the ITV soap reveal the schoolgirl is excited about the summer spectacular, as she’s sure she’ll land the lead.
Practising for the solo she believes will be given to her by Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger), Hope’s thrilled with the idea of being centre stage.
However, her plans don’t go as expected when it’s revealed her half-sister Ruby (Billie Naylor) has landed the leading role.
As Glenda explains that two other children and Hope will be the backing singers for Ruby at the Little Big Shotz summer spectacular, Ruby is thrilled.

Although it’s clear Hope isn’t blown away by the news as she doesn’t like being second best to her sister.
Could Hope let her jealousy take over and slip back into her old evil ways? Or will she be happy for Ruby for being in the limelight?
Over the years fans have seen Hope, the daughter of serial killer John Stape (Graeme Hawley) do some pretty questionable things.
Some of these include setting fire to her trampoline and the underworld factory, bullying her sister and threatening the children at school with a hammer.

However, Coronation boss Iain MacLeod hinted fans may see a different side to Hope in the future, which could suggest she won’t take action over Ruby landing the lead role.
Appearing on Loose Women, he said: “We thought actually we’ve done some very dark and twisted things with that character, and okay, that will still be part of her, but for the next 12 months we’re going to do normal pre-teen stuff.
“We’re going to be building a friendship with her and Sam that will verge on a very innocent pre-teen romance a little bit and they try to navigate those waters.
“It will always have a Hope twist on it because she’s maybe wired a bit differently than most kids her age… but we’ll see a more down-to-earth grounded side of her.”
However, Ruby may look a little different to viewers as the original actress has been replaced after 11 years.
Usually played by Macy Alabi, who has portrayed Ruby since birth, the young actress has decided to step down from the show.
Speaking about her decision to leave, a source told The Sun: “Macy’s starting senior school soon so wants to focus on her studies.”
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
