Following Leo Thompkins’ (Joe Frost) death in Coronation Street, we’re wondering just who Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) next victim will be…or should that be victims?
Leo lost his life at the end of September, when he threatened to tell the Platt family all about Stephen’s crimes.
Stephen admitted – in broad daylight – that he was planning on stealing a huge sum of cash from Audrey (Sue Nicholls), and Leo was more than ready to expose everything.
On the factory gantry, a showdown ensued, and Stephen’s desperation grew. He was not prepared for his murky world to come crashing down and so he attacked Leo, hitting his head on the railings and throwing his body over the top, right into the bin.
With Todd Boyce previously hinting at the fact Stephen could become Corrie’s next serial killer, Jack P Shepherd and Julia Goulding – who play David and Shona respectively – have been speaking about what the future looks like for their characters, now they have a murderer in the family!
‘David already doesn’t like Stephen. His uncle was meant to take him to Milan and ended up taking Sarah instead, so they’ve never seen eye to eye’, Jack told Inside Soap Magazine.
‘Audrey is at the top of Stephen’s hit list because he wants all of her money, but if there’s anyone other than her in the firing line, it’s probably David. I suppose I should be a little bit worried.’
Pitching in, Julia teased Shona’s fate: ‘I was a bit worried as I’m going on maternity leave, so I went straight upstairs to see the producers to check they weren’t going to write me out as one of Stephen’s victims!’
What’s important to note here is that Julia doesn’t actually say whether or not Shona will be killed off ahead of her maternity leave – something we’ve spoken about before.
From suspicious glances to saying what she really thinks, could Shona land herself in trouble soon?
