Ellie Leach says she doesn’t like being horrible to Corrie co-star
Soap star Ellie Leach, who is best known for playing Faye Windass in Coronation Street, is rumoured to be starring in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up.
The 22-year-old, who recently split from her boyfriend of five years Reagan Pettman, left the ITV soap earlier this year to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
According to a TV insider, Ellie’s appearance on the BBC dance competition could be the perfect timing for her.
Speaking to The Sun, they said: “This could be just the tonic for Ellie, who’s had some huge life changes this year and could do with something fresh to focus on.
“As well as splitting from Reagan she left Corrie, a show which she effectively grew up on as she joined the cast when she was just a child.”

Express.co.uk has contacted the BBC on Ellie’s rumoured Strictly sign-up.
They added that if Ellie was to star in the line-up, it would give her the chance to experience the glitz and glam of Strictly, a far cry different to what she was used to playing Faye.
Ellie made her soap exit in May as her character Faye decided to leave to be with her daughter Miley (Frankie-Jae Simmonds) and ex-boyfriend Jackson Hodge (Joseph Evans).
Despite being in a relationship with policeman PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith), it was clear she still had feelings for her old partner.

As Jackson and Miley left Weatherfield to head to Slough, Faye made the rash decision to up her life and live as a family together down South.
Ellie isn’t the only soap star whose name has been speculated as Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas, former EastEnders actor Nigel Harman and Bobby Brazier have all also been rumoured.
This year, it’s believed the dance competition will make history by having the first Love Island contestant on the show.
According to the Daily Mail, Zara McDermott has caught the eyes of bosses on the show who think she’ll attract a younger audience.
A source for the show said: “Zara is the perfect signing for Strictly, not only is she beautiful and glamorous but she is hardworking and will take being on the show very seriously.
“She absolutely loved the experience of documentary making and is over the moon to further her relationship with the BBC by signing up for Strictly.
“It is a dream come true for her and becoming the first former Love Island star to do so is the icing on the cake.”
Strictly Come Dancing is set to air later this year on BBC One.
