Coronation Street’s Mary Taylor (played by Patti Clare) has had a difficult time as of late after her husband Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden) told her he wanted a divorce and would be selling their old house.
Soap fans will know Mary has been staying with Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) and family ever since her estranged son Jude Appleton (Paddy Wallace) and family took off and left her last year.
However, this is all set to change as a shock move sees Mary on the streets.
But thankfully it doesn’t take long for someone to come to her rescue.
Mary is set to be forced out of the home this week, as Asha tells Dev she needs more independence because the twins are teenagers, and still sharing a room.
It doesn’t take long for Dev to make up his mind and give Mary the boot so his daughter can have her own space.
However, despite being a well-loved member of the community, it seems Mary can’t find anywhere to stay.
Next week’s episodes will see things go from bad to worse as she has no choice but to live in a van.
However, it is not long until she is discovered by Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) who discovers her after overhearing Mary’s Polish film blasting from the van.
Concerned for the nanny’s living conditions, he suggests she moves to number eleven as Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) plans to go into witness protection.
However, the move doesn’t seem to last long as Mary hands her keys back after a rocky start in the new household.
After making it plain Mary is getting on her nerves, Eileen has a change of heart and offers to let her stay as long as she wishes.
However, things aren’t running smoothly for Eileen as tragedy will hit her when trafficker Rachel Healy (Verity Henry) shoots and kills Jan Lozinski (Piotr Baumann) in a shocking turn of events.
Not long after the pair had reunited for Jan to clear his name, Rachel launches her attack.
It turns out she’s been following Jan, determined to get revenge on him for double-crossing her after he was revealed as an undercover informant.
She shoots at him, and pictures from the set have revealed he is gunned down.
Eileen is left with bloodied hands and an agonised expression on her face as her love lays bleeding on the pavement.
Could this be enough for Eileen prompting her to leave the cobbles?
Moreover, viewers are yet to know whether she will survive the attack herself.
Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV.
