Coronation Street legend Sunita Alahan (Shobna Gulati) makes a shock "return from the dead" in upcoming scenes.
Dev Alahan's (Jimmi Harkishin) late wife died in 2013 as she succumbed to the injuries she sustained during the Rovers Return fire, caused by her illicit ex-lover Karl Munro (John Michie).
Next week, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) join the Alahans for Sunita’s memorial dinner.

Dev asks his daughter Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) if she got her bracelet back, her twin brother Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) stares at her and confirms she did.
When Asha notices a bubble of light hovering over her in a photo they just took, Bernie suggests it’s a human spirit.
However, Dev is quick to close down her superstitions.
Aadi also notices that the picture of him and Asha has moved and now faces the picture of his late mum.
Bernie puts it down to the presence of Sunita’s spirit whilst Dev refuses to entertain the idea.
As Bernie tells Paul about Sunita’s restless spirit and how it caused the photo to move, Dev despairs and demands she tell him what she stands to gain with all her supernatural nonsense.
Later in the week, Paul humours his mother Bernie as she tries to create a spiritual environment at home.
Also in Weatherfield, Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) calls at the Rovers to apologise to Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).
They join Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), Carla Connor (Alison King) and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) who are raising a toast to the late Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley).
Carla takes some selfies on Ryan’s phone and uploads them, but she accidentally includes a naked torso shot of Ryan, leaving him furious.
Also, Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) and Yasmeen Nzair (Shelley King) break the news to Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) that her mum has been moved to a prison in the northeast.
Little Eliza’s upset, knowing she’ll see even less of her.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wendesday and Friday on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm
