Coronation Street: Stephen Reid commits second murder
There’s horror set to hit the residents of Coronation Street as remains of another body will be discovered.
After Leo Thompkins’ (played by Joe Frost) body was found, killer Stephen Reid started to get paranoid that it wouldn’t be long until the corpse of his dad Teddy Thompkins (Grant Burgin) was also discovered.
Heading to the canal, he started to poke around in the water to ensure the roof box with his body in was still well submerged.
Although he was interrupted by a phone ringing from behind a bush and fled the scene, unaware it was Tim Metcalfe (Simon Duttine) who was watching suspiciously.
However, this week fans of the ITV soap saw Stephen realise who was lurking when he heard Tim’s phone going off and instantly recognised the tone.

In scenes set to air next week, it looks as though Stephen realises Tim’s getting too close to the truth and decides to take action.
Tim goes back to the canal to investigate what Stephen was doing, he’s outraged when he spots the hand of a dead body.
Rushing back to his car to call the police, the phone cuts off and he doesn’t get the chance to ring back before Stephen jumps in the car and tries to strangle him with his tie.
Unaware of the situation that’s happening, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) is furious with her husband as she assumes he’s gone to a football match with Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

However, Tim is fighting for his life as he manages to flee the car and escape before tripping to the floor.
Although he stumbles up, he’s not fast enough as Stephen knocks him over the head with a brick and shoves him in the boot of his car, which he then douses in petrol.
Leaving the scene of the crime, he returns back to Weatherfield as if nothing has happened and bypasses Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews).
Heading straight to the shower to wash away the traces of fuel and blood, Stephen puts his exit plan in motion and calls the airline to confirm his flight for tomorrow.
Elsewhere, it seems as though the police have caught wind of activity by the canal and discovered the roof box in the murky waters of the canal.
As they open to see what’s inside, Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) and DS Swain (Vicky Myers) shudder when they see human remains.
Is Stephen’s time officially up? Or will he try and pin the crimes on another Weatherfield resident?
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
