CORONATION Street fans have blasted the soap for failing to hide actress Julia Goulding’s real-life "obvious" baby bump.

The star, who plays Shona Platt, was in the kitchen with David and Max when viewers spotted her growing tum.

She was wearing a baggy light blue zip up hoodie – but it wasn't baggy enough as viewers claimed it was the "worst hidden baby bump ever!”

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: “Shona’s baby bump is quite obvious now and they are not hiding it very well. I wonder how they will write her out while she’s off having the baby?"

Another wrote: “Lmaoooo have #Corrie just totally given up hiding Shona’s bump??”

A third penned: "Waiting for Shona to carry a washing basket or a tray next!"

Julia revealed she was pregnant with her second child in June 2022 at the British Soap Awards.

Julia and her husband Ben are already parents to their son, Franklin, who was born in November 2019.

Shona was written out of the soap when she went on her maternity leave with her first child.

The character suffered a head injury when she was shot and lost the memory of the last few years of her life – including marrying David.
