CHERYL Tweedy jetted off on holiday with her mum Joan today as ex Liam Payne partied in Coachella.

The Geordie singer, 35, looked every inch the yummy mummy and flicked her shiny locks over her shoulders as she maintained immaculate hair in the London breeze.

Cheryl wore a white jacket and black trousers, and carried a blue device that could have been for her young son Bear.

She travelled with her mum, who wore a black suit jacket and yellow T-shirt.

The star, who parted ways with L'Oreal in December, recently admitted she's used hair extensions to recreate her luscious tresses after she chopped off her hair last year.

She said on Instagram: "Since becoming a Mam my @easilockshair extensions have been a big life saver for me as they make my hair routine so much quicker … You literally clip in a blow dry!"

Cheryl recently told how ex boyfriend Liam was absent for the first four months of their son Bear's life – but insisted he is a "great dad".

The 35-year-old singer opened up about being a single mum, saying Liam, who is currently at Coachella, travelled the world so much after their tot was born that she got used to coping on her own.

She told Stella magazine: "Liam was away working in the first four months, so I got totally used to doing everything.

"If I needed more help I’d be on the phone to the grandparents – his parents and my mum – and they’d come down."

However, she insisted the 25-year-old former One Direction star was a fantastic parent, saying: "Liam is a great dad.

"He’s much softer than me. But it is what it is, and I’m OK about it.

"When you have a baby, you are not consumed with just thinking about yourself."

She added: "It’s your responsibility to keep things settled and happy, so you make the best of everything. And we have."

Cheryl and Liam split after two and a half years together last summer when Bear was 16 months old, with their hectic careers meaning they had been spending a lot of time apart.

When asked why she ended the relationship in her interview, Cheryl replied: "Who says it was me?"

The magazine asked whether they had "consciously uncoupled" like Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, she said: "If that means there’s no screaming and shouting, and you both still manage to get on because you have a baby, then yes."

She also said she would like to have more children – though not necessarily after falling in love again.

Cheryl explained: "Yes, but you don’t necessarily need to be in a relationship. I’ve got a friend who has had two children using donors. Not everything has to be conventional.

"You can spend ages looking for the right man, waiting for the perfect time to get pregnant, then the right man might turn out to be the wrong man.

"There are definitely other routes I would consider."
