Brenda Edwards will make her return to Loose Women on Monday, with the ITV show airing an interview with the star on Monday following the death of her son Jamal.

Brenda's music pioneer son Jamal, who founded SB.TV, was just 31 when he died suddenly in February this year.

TV star Brenda, 53, and Jamal's loved ones laid the star to rest last month while Brenda has taken time away from Loose Women to grieve for her beloved son.

But, Brenda is set to return to Loose Women this week – with the show airing a sit down interview with the star on Monday.

Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold announced Brenda's return on Monday's show.

He told viewers: "Today's edition of Loose Women will air a special interview with Brenda Edwards, who has been away from the show since the tragic death of her son Jamal."

Richard added: "Brenda has been taking time away from television to be with her family.

"This chat marks the first time Brenda has spoken on TV about the loss of her son."

As he shared the news, GMB aired a preview clip from the Loose Women star's interview set to air later on Monday.

Brenda can be seen sitting down with her close pal Coleen Nolan as she thanked her co-stars for being there "at the end of the phone" and in person.

The mum also explained how she "needed" to come back to the panel.

Speaking to Coleen, 57, in the preview clip, Brenda said: "It has been great having the ladies there and that is something which has been a big part of my life, and the kids' life so I need to return.

"It's not even want to, I need to return."

She added: "I've missed everyone but I thank you for supporting me, and being there at the end of the phone with me."

Brenda's interview will air in full on Monday's episode of Loose Women and on Tuesday Brenda will return to the panel for the first time since Jamal's passing, GMB star Richard explained.
