Bradley Walsh, 61, was on hand to help four celebrities battle their way through numerous rounds of The Chase. All four, which included comedian Shappi Khorsandi, 48, radio presenter Iain Lee, 48, Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine, 37, and Stanley Johnson, 80, went up against Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, 39. However, it was Shappi who left the host of the ITV show unimpressed as she began to break the rules.
The comedian was the third contestant up to play after Iain had made it back with £5,000 and Jennie was kicked off after being defeated by the Chaser.
After completing her cash builder round, Shappi was asked a series of questions by Bradley to try and join her co-star in the Final Chase.
One such question was: “What name is given to a swimming pool designed to look like it has no edges?”
Choices of answers that the host read out to the contestant and Jenny included; Endless pool, Infinity Pool and Unlimited Pool.
However, before he’d finished speaking, the player had already looked her answer in as she pressed the buzzer too early.
Mortified by what had happened, Bradley halted proceedings as he wanted to understand what possessed Shappi to do such a thing.
The comedian looked at him with wide eyes as she realised she had made a mistake and she soon got a warning for her actions.
“That is against all the rules,” he declared, before he explained: “You have to wait until I’m finished reading A, B and C before pressing any buttons.
“That happens again and you’re out,” the presenter said as he jokingly threatened to kick the player off the show.

With the audience in hysterics, Bradley did his best to look annoyed before carrying on with the rest of the game.
The host revealed Shappi had input “Infinity pool” as her answer and asked if she knew that or made a swift guess at the answer.
“Yes, because I went on holiday once and the hotel that I stayed at, the hotel next door to it had an Infinity pool,” she said.
Again, the host was left baffled by the player’s longwinded explanation and the studio burst into laughter.
It was revealed Shappi had got the answer correct, despite locking down her guess way too early for Bradley’s liking.
Last year, the quiz show celebrated its 10th anniversary and celebrated with a number of special programmes.
One of which included a late-night spin-off show, Beat The Chasers, which sees all six quiz masters battling it out against opponents.
The format went down a storm and the show has just aired its second season with a celebrity edition also airing.
Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha, 51, has spoken of his admiration for Bradley, stating: “[He] is the absolute king.”
Referring to any advice the host gave him ahead of his own presenting debut, the quizmaster added: “I think it’s very important to try and forge your own path.
“I’m aware that sometimes if you’re trying to be somebody else, you end up saying words that just don’t sound like your voice.
“And for better or worse, I want to be Paul Sinha, I don’t want to be Bradley Walsh. Bradley Walsh is the king of what he does because he’s Bradley Walsh,” he told Radio Times.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
