AMY Winehouse's wardrobe is set to be sold as her family are unable to deal with the 'pain' of seeing her outfits.

The singer was just 27-years-old when she was tragically found dead in her Camden home on 23 July, 2011.

Amy was found unconscious at home by her bodyguard, with it later being confirmed that she died from alcohol poisoning.

Nine years later, her family are looking to sell her clothes in a bid to raise money for charity.

The proceeds will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which is run by Amy’s dad Mitch and mum Janis.

Amy's red heart-shaped bag from the 2007 Brit Awards is among one of the items.

The statement purse is tipped to fetch £14,000, while a dress designed by Naomi Parry is expected to bring in a similar amount.

Amy's dad Mitch told The Mirror: "Amy’s belongings were in a giant lock-up and the family decided that while we would keep the most precious, personal items for ourselves, auctioning others would help those in need via the foundation and other charities.

"With the anniversary of her death coming up, every time the family go to the lock-up, it’s overwhelmingly emotional seeing her lovely dresses hanging on the rails, so we decided to auction these show outfits."

Beverly Hills-based Julien’s Auctions will sell the items later this year.

Last year, Amy's mum marked the anniversary of her death with a picture of a burning candle between a pair of her daughter's heels.

Janis simply captioned the poignant post: "Love Janis Xxx."

Since Amy's heartbreaking death, Janis and her family launched the Amy Winehouse Foundation in her memory to help vulnerable or disadvantaged young people.

A statue tribute to the star was also unveiled in her beloved Camden back in 2014.
