All Creatures Great and Small Christmas teaser
The All Creatures Great and Small Christmas Special is set to pull at the heartstrings of the nation and viewers who love the Channel 5 show. James Herriot (played by Nicholas Ralph) and Helen Herriot (Rachel Shenton) are expecting a baby together but are currently separated as James was called to War.
Since being married the pair have begun to look more into their future and feel they need to move on from Skeldale House soon. In the teaser trailer for the episode, James and Helen had an emotional phone call which makes him determined to get back to her in time for the birth, but he doesn’t have many options.
Making things worse, his RAF Mascot, Georgie, needs his help and he struggles to do the right thing. Will he find his way home in time for Christmas?
Back at Skeldale House, Mrs Hall (Anna Madeley) prepares a community Christmas celebration in Darrowby, bringing the Christmas spirit to the residents.
Siegfried Farnon (Samuel West) and Richard Carmody (James Rose-Anthony) work on their relationship but begin to argue over who will be Father Christmas this year.

Actor Nicholas Ralph recently spoke to Express.co.uk and other press about the decision James has to make and said: “James is missing Helen enormously.
“The circumstances are that she is heavily pregnant and at this point, James will have been away for about four months with the RAF.

“So it is a huge amount of time to be away from your significant other, especially under these circumstances, and as we saw when he signed up Helen wasn’t pregnant.
“Maybe if she was then things could have been different, we don’t know what kind of decision he would have made then.
“But he always has this kind heart and head conflict of serving the greater good, sacrificing your own needs for the greater good in service and then also his family.
“He has a young wife who is pregnant so it is huge, a huge argument within himself but he is missing friends and the family, but he has his brothers in arms in the RAF.”
All Creatures Great and Small: Christmas Special will be on Thursday 21st December at 9pm on Channel 5 and My5.
