All Creatures Great and Small is an upcoming Channel 5 series which is based on the collection of stories by James Herriot.

The series is due to air in September 2020 and it was filmed on location across Yorkshire.

A trailer for the new series has just landed and it shows Nicholas Ralph as the iconic vet  James Herriot.

Samuel West stars as  Siegfried Farnon, the vet who reluctantly hires Herriot at his new practice.

Executive producer Colin Callender said: “We live in a very divided world now and one of the joys of these stories is that they are about community and people coming together and supporting each other. I think that’s a story that we want to tell now more than ever.”

The trailer shows Herriot being introduced to  Farnon and he is getting used to countryside life.

The people he meets tell him to stand up to Farnon, saying “his bark is worse than his bite”.

Rachel Shenton takes the role of Helen Alderson, an independent farmer’s daughter who takes a liking to Herriot.
