I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star AJ Pritchard and his brother Curtis Pritchard have been cast in Hollyoaks, their first on-screen acting roles.

The siblings are set to join the Channel 4 soap in the next coming weeks and will play twin brothers.

According to reports, former Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ has already filmed his first scenes, while Curtis is expected to arrive on set in the coming days.

It’s been claimed the brothers’ storyline will see them involved in an opening of a dance school run by returning character Trish Minniver, who is portrayed by Denise Welch.

‘It’s an unlikely move by the brothers but they’re up for trying new things,’ a source said.

‘It was an idea mooted a little while ago and both parties seemed keen, so they’ve made it happen,’ the insider continued to The Sun.

‘AJ and Curtis are thick as thieves, and look identical, so playing a pair of twin brothers will be no issue at all.

‘They hope it’ll show a different side of them to one viewers of Strictly and Love Island have seen already.’

AJ told the publication that he ‘can’t believe’ he’s joining the soap.

‘Our characters are fantastic, and we can’t wait for everyone to see how we bring them to life,’ he added.

Meanwhile, Curtis enthused: ‘I am so excited to be working with my brother AJ on a show we grew up watching. I am also excited to continue our journey together with Channel 4 and E4.’
