ADELE has introduced Skepta to James Corden and her best pal as the superstars embark on a “whirlwind romance”.
The Sun told last week how the pair, both from Tottenham, had been on a number of dates.
Now friends have revealed there has been a “brief fling” — but they are not sure if it will become a serious relationship.
Adele, 31, is believed to have introduced the grime MC to old friend Laura Dockrill and Corden during a trip to the Crystal Maze Experience in London last month to celebrate Skepta’s 37th birthday.
A source said: “No one saw it coming but there’s a whirlwind romance going on between Adele and Skepta.
“It’s been a bit of a brief fling so far. But these are two people who care about each other very much as friends so it’s very exciting times.
“The fact Skepta has met Laura and James seems like a positive sign. Everyone wants the best for both off them.”
Adele first met writer Laura, 33, at the Brit School of Performing Arts as a teenager and even wrote the song My Same — which features on her debut album 19 — about her.
The singer and Corden have become close friends since she moved to Los Angeles and she has appeared on the Carpool Karaoke section of his US chat series The Late Late Show.
Adele, whose hits include Skyfall, Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You, split from 45-year-old husband Simon Konecki in April after being in a relationship with him since 2011.
In 2016, Skepta — real name Joseph Junior Adenuga Jr — told ES Magazine: “Adele texts me all the time and keeps me in check. She speaks to me about how things are going.”
That same year Adele posted a picture of Skepta and wrote “Tottenham Boy” alongside a heart emoji – which he later retweeted adding “love you” and an emoji of a red rose.
He had a brief relationship with Naomi Campbell in 2018, but they are thought to have split when she learned he was about to become a father with another woman.
