A PLACE in the Sun's Scarlette Douglas was left deflated as a couple rejected every single property.

Thursday's instalment of the Channel 4 show saw the expert try to find Julia and Warren the perfect home in Álora, Andalucía for £95,000.

The Geordie couple wanted to find a place to fit their needs – which included keeping Warren's cars safe and also a bit of space to start bee keeping.

Scarlette showed them a total of five properties around the Andalusian countryside, but the second pad – a two-bed country house in Ardales – certainly ticked a lot of their boxes.

The home – priced at £81,034 – was surrounded by stunning views, a huge swimming pool, roof terrace and open planning living and dining space.

But the only downside was that it had a bit of work to do – which would have cost them a whopping £20,000.

After looking at all five options, the trio met up to discuss what their plan was.

Julia described her time on the show as a "fantastic journey" and her husband couldn't fault Scarlette's selection of properties.

The two liked three of the properties Scarlette showed them, but the second one definitely stood out as their favourite.

Warren loved the views from the apartment and said "you would never get sick of that".

His wife said it would be "marvelous" to take it on as a project, but Warren said he's not sure if it's a viable thing for them.

Scarlette asked if they would consider getting in a builder, but they explained costs might be a little much for them.

She tried her best and said they could maybe go in with a lower offer so they could use the remaining money to do the work they needed.

But they weren't having any of it.

Warren said: "It's something to think about, but I think it is something we are going to have to go away and possibly reevaluate this moment in time.

"But you've helped us get what is clear in our minds what is important for the rest of our lives.

A deflated Scarlette replied: "It is a big decision! It's not just a holiday home, it's somewhere you're coming out to forever, so it has to be right.

"I really hope you do find the dream property you're looking for."

Speaking to the camera later on she said: "I'm so glad we could help Warren and Julie find the right location for their forever home.

"Although our second property didn't quite hit the mark, it did help them to prioritise what's important to them and their new life here in Andalucía."

It comes after presenter Ben Hillman was left stunned when a couple bluntly halted a property viewing halfway through.

He was on the search for the perfect holiday home in Southeast Spain.

David and Victoria had a budget of £110,000 and wanted to buy in Los Alcazares, Costa Calida.

They were left unimpressed with the third property in La Manga as it was a block and had "more of a hotel look".

After looking around the ensuite bedroom the pair realised it wasn't for them.

"Views are great – but it's not for us," David admitted.

Accepting defeat, Ben asked: "Seeing as we're here, do you want to see anymore?"

To which Victoria replied: "I don't think so" and David confirmed: "No, we'll leave it."
