30 men and 30 women battle for their WrestleMania title shot in St Louis on Saturday night, and expect many a surprise in both matches with fans back in their thousands at The Dome.

The women's Royal Rumble has already advertised a string of big returns such as Lita, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, Summer Rae plus the Bella Twins.

While Mickie James, the current Impact Knockouts Champion, steps through the 'Forbidden Door' to appear in the match.

And in the men's match, Jackass star Johnny Knoxville has thrown his name into the hat.

Who has been rumoured for the WWE Royal Rumble 2022?

So, this is where is gets really interesting.

The WWE rumour mill has been set to overdrive with reports Ronda Rousey will make an appearance in the Royal Rumble match.

Former UFC women's bantamweight champion Rousey hasn't set foot inside the ring since losing in the main event with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania 35 in April 2019.

Rousey's hiatus from WWE has been in large part to her starting a family with husband Travis Browne, with the pair announcing the birth of their daughter La'akea Browne last September.

In addition the Baddest Woman on the Planet's stylist Abraham Esparza is reportedly set to be at the Royal Rumble and the following night's Monday Night Raw, according to PWInsider.com.

Elsewhere, Shane McMahon has been heavily tipped for a shock return in the men's Royal Rumble match and pop artist Bad Bunny – who drew plaudits for his performance at WrestleMania 37 – is also reportedly returning.

While Aksana, who left in the company in June 2014, has also been reported for a return in the women's Royal Rumble match. The Lithuanian star is in St Louis, according to reports.

And he might be retired, but The Undertaker has also been spotted in St Louis. Of course, the Deadman could be there supporting his wife Michelle McCool who is in the women's Rumble match.
