BRET HART claims fellow legend Goldberg should not be part of WWE’s Hall of Fame due to his “track record” of injuring opponents.

The 65-year-old “Hitman” left WWE in 1997 to join rival company WCW for a mega-money deal.

However, the Canadian’s in-ring career was cut short due an injury sustained in a match against Goldberg at Starrcade in 1999.

Hart was nailed with a thrust kick to the head that was so severe it left him with a concussion, resulting in him suffering from post-concussion syndrome and effectively ending his illustrious reign inside the squared-circle.

And during an appearance on Prime Time with Sean Mooney, he revealed that incident cost him “$16million in like one second”.

He said: “I wish that Bill Goldberg had never kicked me in the head as hard as he could.

“I don't know how you give a guy a Hall of Fame thing for hurting as many wrestlers as Bill Goldberg hurt, and without consequence — he usually got a pat on the back and told how good of job he did out there when you're scraping the wrestler that worked with him off the mat.

“When Bill Goldberg kicked me in the head, I honest to God lost about $16m in like one second.

“I just signed with WCW for $3m a year for another three years on top of the two years I had left on my original contract, so it was bad timing and unfortunate.”

A year after he was injured WCW terminated Hart’s contract as he announced his retirement.

Meanwhile, Goldberg remained one of WCW’s biggest attractions and enjoyed a short stint in WWE from 2003 to 2004 after Vince McMahon famously bought his competition.

He returned to WWE in 2016 to defeat Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series before wnning the Universal Title from Kevin Owens at Fastlane the following February, losing the belt two months later to Lesnar at WrestleMania.

Goldberg appeared to have hung up his wrestling boots after that, but he made an infamous comeback that led to calls for him to retire after a botched-filled clash with the Undertaker at June’s Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.

He later revealed he had suffered concussion in the bout as he apologised to fans for the in-ring disaster.

But he once again returned to the ring at SummerSlam to squash Dolph Ziggler in a matter of seconds, and the two look to be ready to clash again after footage emerged on Twitter of the pair squaring up to each other at Andiamo Steakhouse in Las Vegas while both were at porn star Kendra Lust’s birthday party.
