THE semi-finals of this year's Wimbledon singles Championships are upon us, with Cameron Norrie and Novak Djokovic battling it out for a place in the final.

The Serbian number one seed is taking part in his 11th Wimbledon semi-final today, as he goes up against Norrie, the British number one.

The 35-year-old is the strong favourite going into the tie, with the winner going on to face Nick Kyrgios in Sunday's final.

The Australian was due to face Rafael Nadal in the semi-final today but the Spaniard was forced to pull out through injury.

Djokovic survived some big scares in his quarter-final tie with Jannik Sinner as the Italian won the opening two sets.

Djokovic's opponent, Norrie, is taking part in his first ever Grand Slam semi-final.

The 27-year-old has never previously made it past round three of a major slam.

The Brit also had to go the full distance in the last round, as he saw off David Goffin of Belgium 3-6 7-5 2-6 6-3 7-5.

It was the second time, Norrie needed five sets to progress in this Championships, having also seen off Jaume Munar of Spain in round two.

The number nine seed has had a generous path through to the last four, only having to play one seeded player along the way – 30th seed Tommy Paul in round four.

Norrie and Djokovic have met once before, with the Serb winning in straight sets at last year's ATP Finals.
