CRICKET superstar Shane Warne has passed away at the age of 52 after suffering a suspected heart attack.

The Australian cricketer was famously engaged to actress Elizabeth Hurley – here's what we know about their relationship.

When did Shane Warne date Liz Hurley?

Late Australian cricket legend, Shane Warne, aged 52, and The Royals star, Elizabeth Hurley, 56, dated for nearly three years between 2010 and 2013.

The pair were even engaged in late 2011 but ended up cancelling the wedding in 2013 after breaking up.

On the six-part Fox Australia series, "A Week with Warnie", Warne opened up about his feelings for Hurley.

“When she first came to Australia we had been seeing each other for about six months or so, so I didn’t introduce her to my children until it was real and I believed it had a future – it wasn’t just a bit of fun."

He admitted in 2020 that he "still cares" about his ex-fiance and is "sad" about the split.

"[I’m] quite sad it’s over because I still care about her deeply and she’s a wonderful person."
