JAKE PAUL revealed his team and Conor McGregor's 'talk constantly' about setting up a fight between them.
Paul is advised by Nakisa Bidarian, the former UFC CFO, meaning he would have worked with McGregor's manager Audi Attar.
And while under contract with the UFC, it prohibits the Irishman from competing outside of the octagon.
UFC president in 2017 did let McGregor, 33, over to the boxing ring for a lucrative but losing effort to boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, 44.
White would need to give him blessing once more, but Paul, 24, admitted discussions have at least happened behind the scenes.
He told Graham Bensinger: "If Dana would ever let Conor out of his contract to set up the boxing match, I think that's what is needed to make it happen.
"And I think that will, I think it will happen and if Conor is going to just continue to lose fights.
"He's 1-4 in the past five years – then there's not much Dana will be able to do with him anyway. So cash him out one more time.

"But his manager is good friends with my manager and another one of my advisors and they talk constantly about making it happen.
"They're like, 'Yeah we're down, we're about it'."
In Paul's first three fights, he beat YouTuber 'AnEsonGib', ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But his biggest win to date came in August, over eight round against ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39.
Paul was then set to fight Tommy Fury, 22, until the British former reality TV star pulled out with a broken rib and chest infection.
Woodley has since signed as Fury's replacement opponent, with the pair rematching over the weekend.
