LUKE ROCKHOLD announced his retirement from mixed martial arts following his long-awaited comeback fight with Paulo Costa.
Rockhold ended a THREE-YEAR hiatus on Sunday morning to lock horns with the middleweight title contender in the co-main event of UFC 278.
The former middleweight champion was given a rude return to the division by Borrachinha – suffering a unanimous decision loss.
And the 37-year-old decided to call time on his legendary career after coming up short against the former title challenger.
He told Joe Rogan: "I can't do this s**t anymore. I gave it my all. I'm f***ing old."
Rockhold was brimming with confidence ahead of his return to the division, telling SunSport: "I feel like I'm gonna hurt him on the feet and then I feel like I'm going to finish him on the ground.
