BOXING legend Floyd Mayweather believes the heavyweight division will soon welcome a new fighter that will knock Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua off their perch.

The two Brits are undoubtedly the two best boxers in the world as they hold all title belts between them.

Joshua, 30, boasts the WBA, WBO and IBF belts while Fury is the newly crowned WBC champ after his stunning win over Deontay Wilder.

Promoter Eddie Hearn is keen to secure a huge money Battle of Britain scrap between the duo that will decide who becomes the undisputed heavyweight champion.

But Mayweather, who boasts a 50-0 undefeated record, believes it won't be long before a new fighter makes their way to the top.

At a DKM Promotions event, he said: "Boxing is strong all around the world, and even if I was in the US I would say the same thing.

"Just because you win one fight, that doesn't define your career. You can be up here today and down here tomorrow, so no fighter should ever take that for granted.

"Anthony Joshua is a hell of a fighter. Tyson Fury is hell of a fighter. It doesn't matter who wins, if I'm not getting paid that's none of my business.

"But the thing about boxing is that there's great fighters all around the world, and there's always someone ready to take that spot.

"There's going to be a heavyweight who is not from the UK and not from the US who is going to make a lot of noise. Everybody remember that, mark it down."

Before their highly-anticipated bout, both fighters will need to fulfil their commitments with Joshua set to fight Bulgarian brute Kubrat Pulev.

The Watford-born Brit will defend his IBF title on June 20 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Wilder is set to activate a clause in their fight deal to have a trilogy of scraps with the Gypsy King.
