  • TOTTENHAM 0-0 EVERTON

    21. Close from Lucas!

The Brazilian tries his luck from just outside of the box and it whistle past the base of Pickford's post with the England No1 scrambling across.

He wants a corner but replays show no deflection or fingertip touch from Pickford.

    Certainly worth a go.

  • TOTTENHAM 0-0 EVERTON

    19. Lo Celso wins the latest battle with Davies to start an attack.

Kane feeds Son who tries to twist and turn but is dispossessed in the box.

  • TOTTENHAM 0-0 EVERTON

    16. Davies threads a neat ball into Calvert-Lewin on the corner of the box.

But rather than get the ball out of his feet and have a shot at goal, he turns back out and recycles it.

He could have worked a chance there…

  • TOTTENHAM 0-0 EVERTON

    12. Eric Dier is no Ederson…

The midfielder-cum-defender tries an ambitious diagonal ping from deep, looking for Aurier.

He does not find Aurier. He instead almost finds the byline. Goal kick.

  • TOTTENHAM 0-0 EVERTON

    10. Things have settled after that strong Spurs start.

No major chances of note from either side just yet.

  • TOTTENHAM 0-0 EVERTON

    8. A reminder that Spurs have kept just five clean sheets in the Premier League this season.

That is the same number as Aston Villa and Norwich – only Bournemouth have fewer.

  • TOTTENHAM 0-0 EVERTON

    6. Bit of Arge-y bargey in the middle of the park as Lo Celso gives Davies a bit of a shove late.

Digne tries a shot from a tight angle but cannot keep it on target.

  • TOTTENHAM 0-0 EVERTON

    4. Kane gets his first intervention in the game – but is flagged offside.

He goes too early as he is slipped in.

Pickford was out quickly to smother the shot, regardless.

  • TOTTENHAM 0-0 EVERTON

    3. Spurs win another free-kick, this time on the right wing… and they will put it in this time.

Lo Celso puts it in and Dier goes up for it… it actually comes off Digne and Pickford tries his best to scramble it away but can only flap it behind for a corner… which comes to nothing.

  • TOTTENHAM 0-0 EVERTON

    2. An early free-kick from deep sees the two Spurs centre-backs go up…

But Son passes it across rather than lumping it into the mixer.

  • TOTTENHAM 0-0 EVERTON

    1. Everton get us underway in North London.

A big game for both sides who still have aspirations of qualifying for Europe next season.

  • PEEEEP!!

    AND WE'RE OFF!!

  • TAKE A KNEE

Upon Graham Scott's whistle, all 22 players, coaching teams and the referee take a knee .

We all remain united in the fight against racism – and that is another powerful moment.

  • NHS CLAP

On the 72nd anniversary weekend of the NHS, both sets of players and officials join together in a clap.

A huge thank you to the NHS and all the key workers for all they do, especially over recent months.

  • FIVE MINUTES

We are just five minutes away from kick-off…

The players are making their way out on to the field and…. Jose and Carlo do hug on the sidelines as promised.

  • MORE FROM OPTA

And a few more juicy stats from our friends at Opta…

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has never lost a home game against Everton in his career, winning seven and drawing two of his nine games. He’s only faced Manchester United more often at home without defeat in his managerial career (ten).

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has scored twice in each of this last four Premier League games against Everton – no player has ever scored 2+ goals in five consecutive games against an opponent in the competition.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane has scored 199 goals in 346 games in all competitions at club level in his career (five for Leyton Orient, nine for Millwall, two for Leicester and 183 for Tottenham).

Everton’s Tom Davies could make his 100th Premier League appearance in this game. At just 22 years and 6 days on the day of the game, he’d be the second youngest player to reach 100 Premier League games for the Toffees, after Michael Ball in December 2000 (21y 68d).

When Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min combined for Spurs’ consolation goal away at Sheffield United it was the 20th time they had combined for a Premier League goal, only the 12th duo to do so in Premier League history and the third for Spurs, along with Teddy Sheringham and Darren Anderton (27 goals) and Kane and Christian Eriksen (21).

  • STAT ATTACK

Here are a few lovely pre-match facts to get your teeth into….

    • Tottenham have lost just three of their 27 Premier League home games against Everton (W16 D8), and are unbeaten in their last ten against them. Those three defeats came in three consecutive campaigns between 2006-07 and 2008-09.
    • Everton are winless in their last 14 Premier League meetings with Tottenham (D7 L7) since a 2-1 win in December 2012 at Goodison Park.
    • Tottenham’s current 14 game unbeaten run against Everton is their joint longest run without defeat against a specific opponent in the Premier League (also 14 games against Sunderland between 2010 – 2017 and Swansea City between 2011 – 2018).
    • Everton are looking to win back-to-back Premier League away games for the first time since September 2016. However, the Toffees have lost 77 of their 155 Premier League games in London (49.7 per cent), with only Newcastle losing more such away games in the competition (79).
    • Since Carlo Ancelotti’s first game in charge of Everton on Boxing Day, only Liverpool, Man Utd and Man City have earned more Premier League points than the Toffees (25 – W7 D4 L3).

    LAST TIME OUT

The reverse fixture between these two sides ended in a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park in early November, with Cenk Tosun netting a 97th-minute equaliser.

But the game was overshadowed by the horror injury sustained by Everton midfielder Andre Gomes.

Portuguese star Gomes suffered a horror injury, breaking his ankle following an awkward fall from a Son Heung-min tackle.

Thankfully he has made an excellent recovery, returning to action in February and playing every minute for his side since the season restarted.

    NEW LOOK AT THE BACK?

SunSport exclusively revealed two big transfers which could involve Everton this summer.

Yerry Mina is a £15million target for LaLiga side Valencia.

But while one defender could be on his way out, a familiar face could be on his way back to Goodison Park.

John Stones has fallen out of favour under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City and the Toffees are considering offering him an escape route for the £47m man, who Arsenal are also tracking.

    JOSE CAN’T KEEP AWAY

Jose Mourinho openly vowed to ignore social distancing rules once again – by revealing he will hug Carlo Ancelotti tonight.

The Special One got into trouble in April for holding a training session in a North London park and could be in hot water again.

Mourinho and Ancelotti – who have 31 major trophies, including five Champions Leagues between them – will meet in the Premier League for the very first time tonight… and could well flout the elbow bump.

Mourinho said: “I think he's a fantastic guy. I think I'm going to break the rules. Now is one-metre distance. I'm going to break the rules and I'm going to hug him because I like Carlo very much.

“As a person I had the privilege to know him for a few years, to stay and be with him a few times in Uefa meetings in some different occasions and I just love Carlo.”

    SKIPPER'S CALLING

Everton captain Seamus Coleman has had enough of having good spells as a club – and instead wants to become a consistent top side.

The Toffees have enjoyed good patches under previous bosses Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman and Marco Silva.

But with Carlo Ancelotti now in charge, the Irishman is determined to see his side challenge the big clubs once again.

Coleman said: “I don't want to be having these conversations year after year when you have a decent run of form.

“You don't want to be just speaking after a good few games saying, 'we are doing well.' I want us to be consistent. I want the club to be back challenging for Champions League places.

“Carlo Ancelotti has not put pen to paper on a contract to be with a mid-table team. He wants to be successful. It's up to the players to keep driving it on. If we're not good enough I'm sure this manager will see it and bring his own players in.”

“We need to start building a belief or a mindset within the squad where we need to go to Tottenham and expect to win, with the support and guidance of a top manager.”

    DELE DONE FOR

The big talking point from the two team sheets is the absence of Dele Alli.

Spurs' playmaker was a doubt after picking up a hamstring injury – but Mourinho was hopeful he would pass a late fitness test.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Saturday, Mourinho said: It's his (Alli) hamstring. Which is something which he had problems with in the past, in previous seasons, even the beginning of this season, and it's always something that makes the medical department think.

“We all think it's nothing important and if you ask me in this moment I would say he'd be available. But I don't know.”

    EVERTON BENCH

Plenty of defensive cover on the bench for the Toffees with Leighton Baines, Yerry Mina, Djibril Sidibe and Jarrad Branthwaite.

Bernard, Moise Kean and Anthony Gordon will be hopeful to make an impact from the bench.

    Everton bench: 22 Stekelenburg, 3 Baines, 13 Mina, 19 Sidibe, 20 Bernard, 27 Kean, 32 Branthwaite, 34 Baningime, 42 Gordon

    EVERTON TEAM

For Everton, there is one change from the side that beat Leicester in midweek as Tom Davies replaces Anthony Gordon.

And that means a 100th Premier League appearance for Davies.

    Everton XI: 1 Pickford, 23 Coleman, 2 Holgate, 5 Keane, 12 Digne, 10 Sigurdsson, 21 Gomes, 26 Davies, 17 Iwobi, 7 Richarlison, 9 Calvert-Lewin

    TOTTENHAM BENCH

Steven Bergwijn and Davinson Sanchez drop out of the team and must settle for a spot on the bench.

There they are joined by 18-year-old full-back Dennis Cirkin.

    Tottenham bench: 22 Gazzaniga, 5 Vertonghen, 6 Sanchez, 11 Lamela, 23 Bergwijn, 28 Ndombele, 29 Skipp, 30 Fernandes, 77 Cirkin
