LUKE DONALD has a snake tooth in his hand after being the victim of a horrific attack.
The Team Europe Ryder Cup captain was bitten by a deadly 7ft boa constrictor whilst at university.
Donald studied at Northwestern University in Illinois, USA from 1997 before turning pro in 2001.
Back in 2006, he recalled his run in with the boa and revealed how he still had proof of the attack.
"I was over at a friend's place on a Friday night, it was late," Donald explained.
"This friend had a pet snake that he kept in his apartment, a boa constrictor, probably 6ft or 7ft long. Pretty thick. He took it out just to show it to everyone and hung it around his neck.

"I was intrigued so I went up to him and asked him if it was OK to touch it. I went to pet the snake, and it just saw my hand and went for it, bit me right across the first two fingers of my left hand. A quick bite and off.
"The owner said, 'Well, he hasn't eaten anything for two-and-a-half weeks and I guess he thought your hand was food'. I said something like, 'Thanks for telling me that now'.
"There was some blood when the teeth went in. It was pretty scary. But the funny thing about boa constrictors is they do not usually bite, but when they do bite, their teeth fall out. So they were stuck in my finger.
"I had to go to the hospital the next morning to get them removed. One was so deep that it is still in my hand. I can still feel it sometimes. I don't really have a scar, but you can still feel the tooth under the skin. It is just a bobble on the index finger of my left hand."

The shocking snake attack was even adapted to be included in the 2000 comedy film Road Trip.
"One of the guys at the party told his dad about the snake bite and he thought it was hilarious," Donald added.
"He is a movie producer and a few years later he put it in one of his movies, Road Trip. So I am famous."
Donald will be hoping to avoid similar horrors this weekend as he captains Europe at the Ryder Cup in Rome.
The former world number one is a veteran of four editions of the tournament as a player, finishing on the winning side in all four of his appearances between 2004 and 2012.
Europe are aiming to win back the Ryder Cup after the USA's win in 2021.
The tournament gets underway at Marco Simone on Friday, with the winners crowned on Sunday after three days of thrilling golf.
