WALBANK (2.30 Ascot, nap)
He couldn’t have been any more impressive when winning by seven lengths at York last month. You don’t see many five-furlong sprints taken by that sort of massive margin and he is capable of taking another big step forward on just his third run for owner Kia Joorabchian.
STRADIVARIUS (4.20 Ascot, nb)
He can land a fab four Ascot Gold Cup wins. He scored the 20th victory of his glittering career when taking the Yorkshire Cup for the third time on comeback last month. That went some way to answering talk of him being too far over the hill. We know he likes this trip and track and John Gosden will have him ready for what could be the final big day of his career under Frankie.
MONTASSIB (6.10 Ascot, treble)
He put in a fantastic effort when winning a Goodwood handicap last time. It was a good enough performance on his own to win by almost three lengths but he met trouble in running before picking up strongly.

3.05
ISRAR managed to win cosily at Newbury last time despite showing his inexperience. He improved with every yard of the race and had plenty left in the tank when passing the line in front. He looks the type to make plenty of improvement for that effort and this extra distance is likely to be ideal.
Johnny Murtagh has a high strike-rate with his raiders and Flying Dolphin clocked a decent time when winning at Gowran last time.
He’s another who will enjoy this greater stamina test and the booking of top Irish pilot Colin Keane takes the eye.
Savvy Knight looks a massive price given how easily he won at Hamilton 14 days ago. He is proven over this trip and can take this stiff hike in class in his stride. He looks a knocking each-way bet, especially if your bookie pays extra places.
Secret State was an easy Nottingham winner last time and the second has scored well since. That was over a mile but he's bred to stay and is a major player on handicap debut.
Post Impressionist finished strongly over 1m2f when second at Newcastle last time. He won on the turf at Ayr and looks on a fair weight for his first crack at a handicap.
Surrey Mist was just behind Israr last time and can improve for tackling this longer trip.

That was just her third run so there should a lot more to come and fast ground suits.
Sea Silk Road showed lots of staying power when scoring at Goodwood latest and is another who should appreciate this stiffer test of stamina.
She looks a major threat for William Haggas.
Life Of Dreams won on debut at Newbury and maybe didn’t enjoy the tacky ground when held in a York Group 3 last month.
She should take a big step forward from that for Charlie Appleby and is another who is bred to be suited by this longer trip.
Magical Lagoon took a Group 3 at The Curragh over a mile last season and wasn’t disgraced in the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket.
She was always likely to improve for moving up to this sort of distance and shaped well when beaten in a photo at Navan on comeback.
That looks solid form and you would expect a lot more from her today.
History kicked off this season with a good Group 3 success at Leopardstown but was a little disappointing in the Irish Guineas after that.
She is by Galileo so should appreciate this distance and is likely to get closer here.
This is an open race and even outsider Mystic Wells showed enough when second in the Lingfield Oaks Trial to be a factor at a big price.
4.20
STRADIVARIUS can land a fab four Ascot Gold Cup wins. He scored the 20th victory of his glittering career when taking the Yorkshire Cup for the third time on comeback last month.
That went some way to answering talk of him being too far over the hill and it’s worth noting that most of his defeats have come on soft ground which really doesn’t suit him.
We know he likes this trip and track and John Gosden will have him ready for what could be the final big day of his career under Frankie.
Trueshan would be a massive danger if the ground was soft but he has never run on anything quicker than good so may not line up.

Tashkhan ran a cracker in the Long Distance Cup here last season but is another who would prefer more give underfoot.
5.00

That was his first crack at this distance and he really improved for it.
Trainer Clive Cox does well at Ascot and he has an improver on his hands here.
King Of Time has not put a hoof wrong so far in winning all three starts.
The first two came on the all-weather but he showed his liking for the green stuff when scoring at Newmarket despite traffic problems. He could be way ahead of the handicapper.

He’s been hiked 11lb but has plenty more to offer.
Wanees managed bring up a hat-trick of wins at Sandown last time despite not getting the run of the race. He has a lot more to come and this distance is ideal.

He faded badly there but has a lot of ability and is another who should relish moving up in distance.
Cresta was a bit unlucky not to win the Dee Stakes at Chester last time.
He didn’t get a run at a vital time and had to settle for second.
He was bought for half a million quid earlier this week and there’s chance he could repay a fair chunk of that here.
Maksud won on debut at Windsor before perhaps not handling the tricky Goodwood track quite so well last time.
He needs to improve on that Listed race fourth but he wasn’t beaten far.
6.10
MONTASSIB put in a fantastic effort when winning a Goodwood handicap last time.

Inver Park is in the next-door stall and has been in cracking form over six furlongs.
