WHOOSH
DIFFERENT LEAGUE
Art Power was a class above his rivals as the market suggested he would be. He was fast away, made virtually all and the result was rarely in doubt. A great start for favourite backers!
1. Art Power 6-4f
2. Keep Busy 6-1
3. Dancin Inthestreet 9-1
4. Lambeth Walk 33-1
THEY'RE OFF IN THE OPENER
GOING TO POST
Not long until the opener on day four of the Royal meeting.
Our man Templegate fancies MIGHTY SPIRIT at 14-1. Here's why…
“Richard Fahey’s flyer looks well drawn in box 22 and she should be able to scoot up the rail under Megan Nicholls, who is full value for her 3lb claim.
“She had a bit in hand when winning at Catterick and this looks wide open.”
TABLE FOR TWO?
William and Maureen Haggas enjoy a spot of lunch in the deserted Ascot grandstand.
GOOD CHAP
Fair to say our man Chappers is pumped…

COME ON CHAMP
It's been a relatively quiet week so far for champion jockey Oisin Murphy with just the one winner. But he has a good-looking book of rides today.

TODAY'S OFF TIMES
MARKET MOVERS
Despite Stradivarius' easy win in the Gold Cup, day three was a good day for the bookies.
There has been plenty of activity on Betfair's Sportsbook as punters look to get their own back today. Here are the latest market movers.
1.15 Dancin Inthestreet 7/1 from 10
1.50 Mahale 8/1 from 14
2.25 Imperial Force 8/1 from 10
3.00 Hamish 15/2 from 9

NAP TIME
Both Templegate and Matt Chapman were out of luck with their NAPs yesterday, so the score remains 1-1 heading into day four…
UP FOR THE CUP
The big race of the day is the Commonwealth Cup at 3.35pm. It's a Group 1 sprint for three-year-old's over the straight six furlongs.
Pierre Lapin is unbeaten in two starts and was impressive in a Group 2 when last seen – but he has never raced on ground this soft before.
His trainer Roger Varian, who has had four winners already this week, said yesterday: “He is in great form at home and we can't wait to run him, he is an exciting horse.
“His two wins have come on fast ground and you can never be sure they will handle cut until they go out and do it. But we are as hopeful as we can be without being certain.”
GROUND UPDATE
Here's Ascot clerk of the course Chris Stickels with an update on the going ahead of day four.
SUPER STARS
There's no doubting who the star of the show was on Day 3 of the Royal meeting.
Stradivarius and Frankie Dettori combined to win their third Gold Cup in as many years.
And he did it by 10 lengths without coming out of second gear. What a horse.
TOP TIPS
Top tipster Templegate has been in good form so far this week. I'm reliably informed he is feeling confident with his selections going into day four – and here they are in all their glory.
1.15 Mighty Spirit
1.50 Mother Earth (tb)
2.25 Eye Of Heaven (nb)
3.00 Anthony Van Dyck (NAP)
3.35 Golden Horde
4.10 Berkshire Rocco
4.40 West End Charmer
ROLL UP, ROLL UP
So would you Adam and Eve it, we're already on to Day 4!
The Commonwealth Cup is our feature this afternoon at 3.35 – a six-furlong sprint for the three-year-olds. We have a proper field too.
Roger Varian – a trainer on fire – has the favourite in Pierre Lapin, but plenty of exciting horses are waiting in the wings including US raider Kimari and Clive Cox's Golden Horde.
The rain is supposedly set to ease off, but we'll see about that.
The going has changed to Good to Soft on the straight and on the Round Course it's Soft, Good to Soft in places.
Good luck!
THAT'S A WRAP
We'll be seeing you tomorrow and I'm off for a well-earned rest. What an afternoon of racing that was.
Stradivarius was all class in the Gold Cup. Fingers-crossed we see him back next year as he goes for four in a row.
Tomorrow's feature is the Commonwealth Cup, a blockbuster sprint over six furlongs. It's a proper field too.
See you then.
THE BOOKIES TAKE
Betway's Chad Yeomans, said: “Some things just don’t change! Frankie Dettori often comes to the rescue for punters on Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot, and his breathtaking success on Stradivarius in the Gold Cup was a very costly result for us and good one for the Betway punters.
“We took a view and we Superboosted him to Evens and there were plenty who got stuck in!”
Paddy Power's Paul Binfield said: “Ground conditions may have saved us on Ladies’ Day as punters were losing faith in staying sensation Stradivarius on the soft terrain and he drifted.
“Khaloosy was our worst result of the day, but, once again, a huge priced winner in the ‘lucky’ last meant we were slightly up on the day as we are on the week.”
LUCKY LAST REPLAY
Was anyone on at 33-1? She's won easily in the end!
SANDRINGHAM RESULT
1. Onassis 33-1
2. Waliyak 4-1
3. Dubai Love 8-1
THEY DO IT AGAIN!
Hayley Turner and Charlie Fellowes have done it again!
They won this race last year and have repeated the feat 12 months on with Onassis.
THEY'RE OFF!
Soffika in the rear. Dubai Love takes them along. Declared Interest also prominent.
RUNNING LATE
This was supposed to be off 12 minutes ago…
But the horses are still milling around behind the stalls. Stay tuned.
African Dream still the strong favourite at 9-4.
Roger Varian's stunning week could improve further. He has Waliyak next in at 4-1.
THE LUCKY LAST
Another wide-open handicap, not easy for punters. 15 runners with a few non-runners due to the soft ground.
Templegate has been in great form again today and he fancies Al Rasmah and she's a fair old price at 18-1.
Matt Chapman can't see the favourite African Dream getting beat.
I'm keeping my hands in my pockets here.
