REAL MADRID will have to get rid of Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Mariano before they can sign Neymar, according to reports in Spain.

Paris Saint-Germain admitted on Saturday that talks are "more advanced" to sell the wantaway winger with Los Blancos and Barcelona competing for his signature.

However neither side can simply swoop for the Brazilian without making room, and money, first.

MARCA believe the Neymar deal could clock in at £190million which will take Madrid's overall summer spending towards a whopping £500m.

Bale is the highest earner on the transfer list and Bayern Munich are said to be reviving their interest in the Welsh winger.

A wide attacker appears to be high on their wish list with Inter Milan player Ivan Perisic also linked.

Rodriguez is still a target for Atletico Madrid and Napoli, the latter in the market having missed out on Nicolas Pepe, while Monaco want striker Mariano.

Real are reportedly optimistic they can complete the Neymar deal by their season opener at Celta Vigo next Saturday, or at least by the September 2 deadline.

Clasico rivals Barcelona, meanwhile, prefer a player exchange route given their bloated wage bill.

One thing is for sure, that Neymar won't be turning out for PSG in the meantime.

Les Parisiens' Ligue 1 title defence begins at home to Nimes on Sunday and the 27-year-old won't feature, according to sporting director Leonardo.

He anticipated a big money exit when speaking to reporters before the game, saying: “Talks are more advanced than before, but no agreement.

“We will see what happens – everybody needs the future to be defined.”
