As baseball's oldest stadium, Fenway Park is full of little quirks that usually end up benefiting the hometown Boston Red Sox.

But on Monday night, the short fence down the right-field line helped Hunter Pence of the Texas Rangers circle the bases for what may be the most casual inside-the-park homer in Fenway's 108-year history.

It all started with a lazy fly ball Pence hit toward the Pesky Pole in the right field corner. Brock Holt gave chase, but couldn't catch it as he fell over the four-foot high wall into the crowd.

That's when things really got interesting.

While Holt was seemingly stuck on the wall, center fielder Mookie Betts hardly moved until it was obvious no one was chasing the ball.

Pence and Nomar Mazara came around to score to give the Rangers a 9-3 lead on what has to be one of the easiest inside-the-park homers in baseball history.

It was Pence's 14th home run of the season, but the first of the 238 he's hit in his career that didn't clear the fence.
