PAUL POGBA and Jesse Lingard had an awkward reunion in training after clashing on Manchester United's pre-season tour.
The £89million wantaway midfielder sat next to his team-mate on a stretching mat and the tension between them appeared clear.
Pogba and Lingard, 26, appeared to have a public bust-up just hours into their Australia tour.
A clip posted from United's official social media channels went viral – and came before Pogba's agent Mino Raiola released a statement slamming the club.
The footage showed Lingard seemingly reacting furiously towards Pogba, 26, after the French World Cup winner said something to him.
Swedish defender Victor Lindelof then separates the pair before the camera switches to another group of players.
The three-second snippet sent United fans into meltdown, with some branding the club "a joke" for airing the video.
Others claimed the season had already started disastrously with two of the club's biggest stars falling out.
And the players themselves did little to dispel the notion of disharmony during training at the Waca ground in Perth today.
Pogba – who is set to be the subject of a £120m bid from Juventus – cast an icy glare in Lingard's direction while the England forward stared straight ahead.
'CLUB IS A JOKE'
Man Utd new signing Daniel James has let no such distractions bother him, after he stunned team-mates by topping pre-season fitness tests.
The Welsh winger was snapped-up by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for just £15m from Swansea this summer.
James, 21, had prepared himself for the new campaign by going warm-weather training in Dubai.
And he has impressed the United backroom staff and players after coming top of the long and short sprints.
James – who flew out with the squad on their pre-season tour of Australia – is also understood to have maxed out the bleep tests.
An Old Trafford source said: "The word from Carrington is very encouraging on young James.
"He is clearly ahead of the game. He has topped all the early fitness charts. Ole was impressed with seeing him doing his own work."
Not everyone is enjoying life under Solskjaer so far, though.
Some reports have claimed that the Norwegian is facing a backlash from his foreign players for his intense start to pre-season.
He has put them on double sessions after identifying their lack of fitness as a key reason behind their dismal finish to last season.
Such an approach is not universally popular, according to ESPN, with foreign players in particular denouncing Solskjaer's outlook as "too British" with his workouts simply "running, running, running".
