Nobody is having a more exciting year than Patrick Mahomes.

On Tuesday, Brittany Matthews announced she’s pregnant and expecting her first child with the Chiefs quarterback, less than a month after getting engaged.

“Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding,” Matthews captioned the Instagram post, which featured the couple holding a sonogram photo.

Earlier this month, Mahomes proposed to Matthews, a personal trainer, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, the same day the Chiefs received their 2020 Super Bowl rings.

The quarterback — who also inked the largest contract in sports history this summer (a 10-year, $503 million extension) — presented Matthews with an estimated six-figure sparkler.

“My heart is so full!” Matthews posted to her Instagram Story at the time. “I love this man so incredibly much and today was so so special! I couldn’t imagine this day being anymore perfect!”

Mahomes and Matthews have been dating for over eight years.
