Here’s something Giants fans won’t find surprising: Odell Beckham is hurt again.
With just three days until Beckham is set to make his debut for the Browns in their Week 1 game against the Titans, the former Giant wants everyone to know he’s not at full speed just yet.
A lingering hip injury has prevented the Browns from getting a good look at their new star receiver they acquired in March, with Beckham missing most of training camp and all four preseason games to ensure no further damage.
“It’s like an extremely fast car with the alignment off,” Beckham told reporters Thursday. “The car can still go, but it’s dangerous.”
Although his hip continues to bother him, Beckham is hopeful that adrenaline will be all he needs to do his job on Sunday. He said this is an injury he’s never dealt with, noting that he’s been rehabbing the hip every day.
“It’s something that prevents me from opening up and sprinting,” he said.
Beckham can’t pinpoint when he first started feeling the discomfort in his hip, but is confident in himself despite not feeling 100 percent.
