NEYMAR'S dad has quashed any speculation that his son will make a high-profile return to Barcelona.

The Brazilian superstar was heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp over the summer after going AWOL from training to try and force through a move.

It was believed Paris Saint-Germain were willing to sell if they received the right price but Barca could not find the money to fund a permanent move.

The £108million signing of Antoine Griezmann was one of the main issues why the Catalan giants couldn't stump up the necessary cash.

And even though Gerard Pique insisted the team would take pay cuts to ensure Neymar's arrival, it appears a future transfer is out the question.

His dad, Neymar Santos Senior, acts as the player's representative and claimed that a deal is dead.

When asked whether he'll return to Spain to pursue talks, he replied: "This is not the case. I'm in Brazil and stay here."
