LUTON still face a race against time to get their stadium ready for their first home game of the season.

The Hatters had been set to welcome Burnley to Kenilworth Road on Saturday but the match has been postponed.

Luton, who made their Prem debut with a 4-1 loss at Brighton on Saturday, were successfully able to get the match rescheduled in order to complete renovations on their home ground.

A new date for the match has yet to be announced, but neither side will be in action this weekend.

Following their promotion to the Premier League last season, Luton are constructing a new stand to meet the league's broadcast and media requirements.

Luton have also received planning permission to build a new stadium, but construction is estimated to take 24 to 30 months
