The Oregon Ducks (1-1) host the Montana Grizzlies (2-0) Saturday at 10:45 p.m. ET at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore.

The Ducks are fresh off of an invigorating beatdown of the Nevada Wolfpack last week, putting up 77 points in their home opener. In the same vain, Montana recent shellacked Northern Alabama to the tune of a 61-17 victory in Week 2.

Montanaat Oregon: Betting trends and tips

  • The Ducks started the year 0-1 SU and ATS after their 27-21 loss to Auburn, but their 77-6 victory easily covered the spread (-24) on Saturday, and they hit the over (61.5) by themselves.
  • The Grizzlies are 1-4 ATS and 0-5 SU in their past five games. In 2018, they went 6-5 SU in the FCS.

Prediction

Oregon 49, Nevada 3

Moneyline ( ?)

Oregon is the heavy favorite in this one; a moneyline hasn’t even been offered as a result of the one-sided nature.

Against the Spread ( ?)

The Oregon Ducks (-37, -110) are riding high after tying the school record for most points scored in Autzen Stadium, and they’ll be looking to iron out some last details against an FCS school before they start conference play against Stanford. The Grizzlies had an impressive Week 2 win against Northern Alabama in which they put up 61 points in a blowout. Nonetheless, Oregon will have a cakewalk Saturday. If the spread was no match for Nevada, it will be no match for Montana either. Once again, lay the points and collect the cash.

With a spread of -37 for Oregon, it means they need to win by at least 38 points for you to cash in on a bet in their favor. At -110 odds, a $10 wager returns a $9.09 profit should they cover.

Over/Under ( ?)

The UNDER (66.5, -106) is where my money is this week. Oregon will likely blow out the Grizzlies here, but I don’t expect the score to get too far out of hand, with the Ducks hoping to get their starters out of the game and well-rested for Stanford. Meanwhile, the Oregon defense has proved stout so far, even late in the game. It’s unlikely that Montana will reach double-digits scoring this week.

However, the Ducks are getting called out for running up the score against Nevada, so they could potentially lay off the gas against an FCS school. All of this combined makes me think the smart play is the under here.

To cash in on the under, both teams need to combine to score 66 points or less. At -106 odds, a $10 wager would return a $9.43 profit if the under hits.
