MOISES CAICEDO's agent has revealed "the boy only wanted Chelsea" after months of speculation and serious Liverpool interest.
Caicedo became the most expensive player in Premier League history after the Blues paid £116million for the midfielder.
The 21-year-old's representative has opened up about his British record transfer to Chelsea for the first time since the window closed.
Liverpool had agreed terms with Brighton before Chelsea did – after confirming a £111m move in August.
But the Ecuadorian preferred a move to Stamford Bridge.
His arrival late in the summer window was an eye-watering British record, costing more than the r £105.8m Todd Boehly paid for Enzo Fernandez in January.

Caicedo's agent Andrea Pellegatti has revealed the precise details of Chelsea's deal to sign the former Brighton star and how Mauricio Pochettino's side got the deal over the line.
Speaking with Sport Italia, Pellagatti was asked about the exact figure paid for the midfielder.
He said: "The amount paid is no accident.
"It was finalised in the last few hours, but the boy only wanted Chelsea, who had started to express their interest in a consistent manner since January."

Brighton paid just £4.5million for Caicedo when they signed him from Independiente del Valle in 2021.
Meanwhile, Caicedo's start to life in SW6 hasn't got off to the start he would have hoped for, with the 21-year-old currently sidelined with injury.
He made his debut in the 3-1 loss at West Ham before starring in the club’s only win of the season against Luton.
