Noah Syndergaard is throwing off the mound, and he wants Steve Cohen to know he’s all in just like the team’s new owner.
When asked by a fan on Twitter when he’ll be back throwing, Syndergaard posted a shirtless video of himself throwing off a mound, an encouraging sign in his rehabilitation from Tommy John surgery.
Syndergaard also changed his Twitter bio. It is now: “Dear Steve Cohen, Hi, I’m Noah. Some ppl call me Thor. I’m a Met, working out in Florida, and I just want to win for Mets fans just like you.”
Cohen, who’s been tweeting a lot since becoming the new Mets owner, responded to Syndergaard’s video.
“Enjoyed our conversation Noah, today,” Cohen wrote. “Good luck with the rehab and can’t wait to see you back on the mound next year.”
Active on social media, Syndergaard on Wednesday quote-tweeted a quote from Cohen about wanting to win and posted a GIF of a man running through a brick wall. Syndergaard isn’t expected to be back until June.
